I am taking part in a 45 hour silence that has been moved to November,  to raise money for plan UK Because I am a Girl campaign. The Campaign aims to help close the gap between men and women and protect girls from the injustices they face due to it. They work with girls from every walk of life, helping bring an end to FGM and Child Marriages.

Across the globe, girls’ rights are threatened by poverty, gender inequality, violence, poor education, unfair policies, ingrained attitudes, conflict and disasters. We must speak out in support of every girl’s right to live safe from violence, to go to school, to take key roles in their communities, to marry who they want, when they want and to have their voices heard.
