In October 2013 we farewelled our beautiful family with much excitement to the country they loved, Lea's home and Gavin's adopted home. As they had done many times before, they went to spend time in Lea's home town of Attapeu and visit with family. But, like 45 other passengers on flight QV301 on 16th October, they didn't reach their final destination of Pakse.
Words cannot express how much we loved & will forever miss Gavin, Lea, Jade & Manfred. They were kind-hearted and generous people who brought joy and happiness to us all.
Laos is a very special place to us, as it was to Gavin & Lea, and in their memory we are carrying on their wish to raise money to help provide the children of Laos with a brighter future.
By setting up this fundraising page, and the amazing show of support from all of our friends and family we have been able to, on behalf of Gavin, Lea, Jade & Manfred raise the funds needed to improve the lives of children Pha-En village in Northern Laos.
So far we have seen the construction of a 3 room Pre-School, opened in September 2015. We are now working towards the construction of a School Meeting Hall.
It has been so wonderful to see something positive come from this absolute tragedy.
