Matt, Niall, Cass Rich have decided to take part in the Asda Foundation Sheffield Half Marathon on the 14th April, 2019 to help raise money and awareness for Goldenhar UK.

What is Goldenhar Syndrome?

What is Goldenhar Syndrome is an ‘umbrella’ term for a wide range of bone abnormalities affecting the face and sometimes the vertebrae. Our children often have a number of facial differences and hearing problems. During their childhoods, children with the syndrome can have a number of surgeries to help with hearing and jaw function, to reconstruct ears and create symmetry in the face.

Who are Matt, Niall, Cass and Rich?

Matt is a very keen runner, by far the fittest and fastest of the group with a marathon personal best of around 3 hours 35 minutes. You can't miss him whilst he's running, though - the Dave Grohl lookie-likie is sure to have heads turning as he pelts it past the other runners! He'll be looking for a finish time of around 1 hour 40 minutes.

Niall^ is new to running and the Sheffield Half is his first race. His training is coming on slowly but surely, and is aiming for a finish time of 2 hours.

Rich has been running for roughly 5 years and has completed some fantastic races. His favourite is the Buxton and Worksop Half Marathons with a personal best of 1 hour 46 minutes at Worksop, 2017. He'll be aiming for an enjoyable run with Niall.

Cass is rock 'ard, that's all you need to know.
