RESULT
Out of a record entry of 10,620 competitors, I finished 4878th, in an astonishing
57mins 52 secs.
Who'da thunk it, eh? I would have been slightly quicker, but I stopped for a pee at 4.5k, and helped a woman who had fallen in the home straight.
THANKYOU to everyone who donated, and you can still donate on this site for another 3 weeks if you feel like it.
Right...off for a jog

Around August last year I began running in an attempt to get
fit.
This,
unfortunately, was a short-lived endeavour, grinding to a halt in October mainly due to the combination of a
twisted ankle, 3 weeks of takeaways necessitated by the installation of a new
kitchen, and apathy.
So
what better way to get back into the swing of things than sign up for the
Bristol 10k run on May 9th?
UPDATE 1
MASSIVE THANKYOU to everyone who has sponsored me so far and sent messages of support (and/or mockery) re the upcoming 10k run.Although I received an injury recently and haven't been able to run, I HAVE been walking. To the fridge. But now it's time to take it seriously. D-Day is May 9th. Not long to go. Bugger.
Kindly asking anyone who has not yet donated to PLEASE donate a quid or two. Every bit helps. I've even altered the set up of the page so that you can remain anonymous. Yay!! Anybody who has verbally pledged to give money, please consider alternatively using this site and ticking GiftAid. This means that Macmillan get MORE money, and I won't have to harrass you or hassle you once I have completed the run and my legs have started working again (I anticipate around August for both).
UPDATE 2:
5 days to go, and I just about managed 4k yesterday.
oh shit.
