Story
Recently two of our friends rowed across the Atlantic. Measured by distance alone we are trying to achieve something 114.5x less impressive.
On April 8th this year, 5 young men will attempt to do something that literally hundreds of thousands of people do every year...run a marathon.
Whilst the feat we are undertaking is not ground breaking, we believe that the work of The African Gifted Foundation is.
The African Science Academy opened in Ghana in 2016, it gives talented girls from across Africa access to the type education that we all took for granted. (http://www.africangifted.org/)
In just 10 months the girls take Maths, Further Maths, Physics AS and A Levels. Josh in particular finds this remarkable given he scraped an A in GCSE Maths.
If we were able to raise £6000 then we could pay tuition fees for a student for a whole year. Given that Joe paid £9000 a year for 2hrs of contact time a week at university, that seems like extraordinary value for money.
