Story
In March 2004 my daughter Mia Rose was born. Less than 23 hours later she was blue lighted up by ambulance to the special care baby unit in St Michael's Hospital.
Nothing was simple with Mia, nicknamed "Mystery Mia the girl who didn't want to leave SCBU" by one of the Doctors I will never forget the love and care they gave to my daughter and to me. So now it's my turn to pay it back.
I'm not a superfit human being, in fact I'm approximately 4 stone overweight and have never run in my life so what better challenge to start myself off with than a half marathon???
I have been slowly building up my training since March so I can now "run" or more likely plod without stopping, but I'm getting there, and with your support I hope to make it around the course to the finish line being able to run the full distance of 13.1 miles and being able to raise money for the Bristol unit who saved my daughter's life.
Even if you can only afford to sponsor me £2, then please, sponsor me whatever you can. This unit saves lives and makes a real difference in the South West.
Thank you for your support and if you want to follow my progress and pain during training and during the half marathon itself please visit my facebook page.
