Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the New York Marathon.

Along with Simmo and Matt, I will be running 26.2 miles (hopefully between 4 and 4 1/2 hours!) in the world's most amazing Marathon - the ING New York Marathon 2010. The run takes place on 07 November 2010 and we're aiming to raise money for 4 diverse and vital charities with our aim being
to give about 50% of all money raised to "H4H" with the remainding 50% being split between our 3 chosen charities.

I have chosen to support the St Andrews Hospice in Grimbsy which treated a clerk from the Adjutant Generals Corps in my Sqn, LCpl Amy Colam, who unfortunately succumbed to cancer recently at only 26 years old. Donating to my "St Andrews Hospice" account can be done by clicking on the "Donate Now" button below. It's simple, quick and secure. It is the most efficient way to give – so every donation goes further – and if you are a UK taxpayer and give Gift Aid consent the charity will receive an extra 28% at no cost to you.

Simmo is collecting for Macmillan. To donate to Simmo's Macmillan fund, just visit http://www.justgiving.com/trevor-simcox.

Matt is collecting for "Families Need Fathers". To donate to his site, just visit www.justgiving.com/RunNewYorkMatt.

If you would prefer to support Help for Heroes, our main charity, which is a fantastic organisation visit www.bmycharity.com/runnewyork.

They say that when you have done one marathon it is catching and you will do another but I can guarantee this is a one only event so whichever charity you want to support, we thank you very much indeed. Remember, make sure you watch out for us on Sun 07 Nov.

Thanks again,

Charlie
