As some of you many know, I have been getting in to my running recently. So much so, that me and 2 good friends from University - Tom Strain and Felix Kennedy have signed up to run the Richmond RUNFEST Marathon on the 15th September 2019. We have been training hard(ish!) and are looking forward to sharing the challenge!

Sadly, my Uncle David died suddenly from a cardiac arrest back in May, and I would like to use the marathon as an opportunity to show my support to my cousins Tom and George, my Auntie Susan, and the rest of David's family, and, of course, in tribute and memory of David himself. He was a generous, kind and dedicated man with the best grin in the world. Our Christmas Eve football family gatherings were particularly special, although he had to hang up his boots in recent years!

SARA are a specialist marine and land rescue team based around the River Severn, local to Dave's family home. He had a particular passion for engineering and helping others so we have decided it would be a great charity to support in his memory.

I will greatly appreciate any donation, however big or small, and if you want to come on the day and cheer me on and hand out a banana, that would also be brill :)
