Sam and Daisy are running the British 10k in London on July 15th for the Bhopal Medical Appeal.
The Bhopal disaster happened in 1984 caused by a gas leak from a chemical factory in the city of Bhopal, India. Half a million people were exposed to the gas and 25,000 have died to date as a result of their exposure. More than 150,000 people still suffer from ailments caused by the accident and the subsequent pollution at the plant site.
The Bhopal Medical Appeal funds two clinics in Bhopal, India, offering first class health care to anybody affected by the 1984 Bhopal Gas Disaster or by the ongoing disaster that sees thousands of people drinking water contaminated with toxic chemicals.
