On 8 June 2019, we will set off from Malin Head and under fair winds arrive in Mizen Head on 15 June 2019!
Towards the end of dad's illness he (and our whole family) were fortunate to be supported and cared for by the wonderful team at Marie Curie Hospice in Belfast. They opened their doors to us and it became our home for three weeks.
The medical care and expertise shown to Dad was excellent and of great comfort to our whole family. In addition to that, they brought a little normality to our lives during this difficult period. No stone is left unturned when it comes to the care provided at the hospice - which included complementary therapy, compassionate and friendly staff and many cups of tea!
We were truly overwhelmed by the support we received during Dad's illness. Taking on this challenge as a family will not only be therapeutic but will also give us the opportunity to raise much needed funds to help Marie Curie Hospice continue their important work supporting families faced with terminal illness.
