Story
The London Marathon alone, which should have taken place today, on Sunday 26 April, is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.
I found CANCERactive very quickly after my diagnosis and am still in awe of the level of empowering information (backed by our Medical Board) that is provided in once central resource for so many types of cancer. We need to get our magazine ICON into many many more GP surgeries, clinics and hospitals. We need to increase awareness to get the information to more and more people touched with cancer. We need to bring hope & inspiration.
So using 2.6, 26, or 260 we are doing the following to challenge ourselves and push out of our comfort zones. Please please encourage us with your donations.
Ollie will be running 2.6 miles 5 times this week - he did his first ever run last week as a trial.
Rosa & I will be honouring today with 2.6. hours of Just Dance (help me now!!) which we will share on social media.
I will be doing 26 yoga sun salutations (I usually do 5)! Proof will be provided.
Graham will walk 26 miles.
Graham & I will join the children to learn a 26 second family tik-tok dance that we will share on social media if our sponsorship hits £260.
THANK YOU SO MUCH xxx
