Ben was just 8 years old when he died from a rare and aggressive brain tumour called DIPG. Following his death, we found there was very little ongoing support for families affected by the death of a child so we set up our own charity to fill the gap - Be More Ben! We offer regular, informal opportunities for families to meet with other people who understand what it is like when their child dies. Parents have described the support as "a lifeline" offering "exactly what we needed, when we needed it". In addition, we provide ongoing counselling and complimentary therapies to bereaved parents.The Mountain Mission 2023 is set to be an unbelievably rewarding challenge. Incorporating a gruelling full days hike, covering some of the biggest and most beautiful mountains in the breath-taking Lake District.Every penny raised for Be More Ben goes directly to supporting families affected by the death of a child.
