Back in 2007 I trekked through the beautiful Himalayas in Nepal for 11 days to Everest Base camp, raising money for The Great North Air Ambulance. After six years I now feel I am well overdue a new challenge! ... So here it is! ... The BUPA Great North Run 2013!! I can't say I have ever been a sporty person! I used to absolutely dread sports days at school and now here I am signed up to do a 13.1 mile run!! ... However the training is going well and I am now starting to enjoy!!

It’s now several years ago since my Grandad passed away, he suffered a heart attack. Every now and then his little phrases he used to say will pop into my head and make me chuckle, memories of him I never forget...
