Story
At the end of May I will be running 400km along the Cape Wrath trail in Scotland over 8 days. I have been training for this since August last year, and since then I have covered over 2000km with over 65,000m of elevation. Trail and hill running is my passion and helps me de-stress after a day in the clinic. This run is the biggest personal challenge I have taken on, and so I want to use my hard work over the last few months and the upcoming weeks to give a little back and support a charity that is integral to supporting thousands of those in the veterinary community.
The veterinary community continues to experience significantly higher
levels of depression and suicide than the general population. Vetlife provides free and confidential support to the veterinary
community which is tailored to an individual's circumstances and
includes assistance relating to financial hardship, stress, addiction
and employment.
