Story
Connie’s mother, Jenny, sadly passed away on Sunday 17th June, after a long battle with cancer. Jenny spent her last week being cared for by Pembridge Hospice in Notting Hill, close to the family home. She had also spent regular time at Pembridge in the Day Centre as well as a period for respite. As a result of the exceptional care Pembridge gave to Jenny and many like her, I have decided to raise funds for Pembridge Hospice by riding the Prudential Ride London 100 in July. By donating, Pembridge Hospice will continue to provide excellent palliative care, ensuring that patients and their families have the best quality of life right to the end.
The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route through the capital and into the Surrey countryside via leg-testing climbs along a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics. The ride finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on the same route.
With your support, Pembridge can continue to uplift the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of their patients. This means people and their families can to live their lives to the fullest, whatever that means to them. While some people are only at Pembridge for a matter of days, others need months or years of support.
