Story

Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

About 5 years ago I ran a Half Marathon for psds after my daughter Erica was born and my wife (Penny) and I discovered she has down syndrome.  We made contact with a group called psds and in the last five years we have built relationships with wonderful people and a wonderful charity that offers support, advice and opportunities to both children with down syndrome and their families.  Families meet regularly to share experiences and provide a network of support, friendship, advice and expertise. This not only benefits children with down syndrome, but also their siblings, parents and all family members.

In the 10 years since it was formed, psds has worked to provide a range of professional services, such as early development groups, speech & language therapy, invaluable school
support services and an after-school drama club, as well as an extensive library of resources for members and their families to make use of.  The aim of psds is for children with down syndrome to have access to the opportunities available to all others and for there to be no ceiling on what any of our children might achieve.  I hope you will support me in the 2016 London Marathon !
