I'm running the 2020 Cardiff University Cardiff Half Marathon on Saturday the 31st of October in aid of Welsh Women's Aid. I have chosen to support this charity as no one should have to live in fear of domestic violence: most notably, women and girls.

It is estimated that around 3 million women across the UK experience rape, domestic violence, forced marriage, stalking, sexual exploitation, trafficking and other forms of violence every year: the equivalent to the population of Wales. The COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated the flaws of the system, and has highlighted marginalised groups who do not receive the support they desperately need and deserve.

I would appreciate any donations of any amount - I am running in solidarity for all victims and coming from a couch to 5k background, I am immensely proud to be running a Half Marathon for such a worthy cause!
