Hi there! My name is Criodán Ó Murchú and I'm about to enter my third year of university. I took an interest in volunteering as I moved into second year, as I became involved in the first year mentor programme and Cell Explorers early on. Later in the year I began tutoring Chemistry. However, as the year wound down, I needed something new to occupy my time. I came across an ad for SpunOut.ie on the ALIVE website (NUIG's volunteering page) and began writing for them. 

I wish I had been aware of SpunOut when I was much younger as I think their content is some of the best around when it comes to youth info and their mission is very simple and pure: empower and give knowledge to the Irish youth. 

And so that is why I am raising funds for SpunOut this summer.
