Story

Stuart sadly passed away on the 19th May following a short battle with Vasculitis. It's incredibly hard to begin to describe the loss of Stuart, but there is an element of comfort in the messages we have received informing us just how loved Dad was. Whilst Stuart was poorly in April, he was cared for impeccably by Portsmouth Hospital. We couldn't have asked for anything more from those looking after Dad, and thus would like to help repay their care and compassion.

We would like to raise money for two areas:

1) E5 Ward (Critical Care) - The unit and their doctors, nurses and admins staff were nothing short of incredible. We would like to give something back and having done some research we know the unit is raising money for equipment we know will make a difference to future patients.

2) The Lodge - Whilst Stuart was at Portsmouth Hospital, we were made aware of accommodation that allowed for those of poorly inpatients to stay nearby free of charge. Portsmouth Hospital is a regional specialist in certain areas, i.e. Renal treatment, and thus it may transpire a loved one is transferred a great distance to receive this treatment. This lodge removes the worry of the cost required with staying overnight, and provides the opportunity to shower, rest and recharge in very tough, emotional situations.

For those who are unable to make it to the funeral, we would like to provide this portal to raise money in the name of our wonderful Dad, Stuart Davidson.

Thank you in advance,

Christopher, Lynsey and Kirsten.
