Story

Thank you for visiting our donation webpage in memoryb of Lily-May Taylor,

Team 'Lily May's MAMIL' have formed to take up the epic challenge of cycling from the Rising Sun in Isleham to Brighton in support of East Anglia Childrens Hospice (EACH) who looked after Lily-May and her parents so well during their time of need.

Lily-May Taylor lost her fight to SLO (Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome) at only 4 months old to a disorder which is extremely rare as it takes both parents to carry and pass on a defective copy of the DHCR7 gene for it to be passed onto newborn babies. In the most severe cases of SLOS (where almost no cholesterol is produced) infants usually die a few months after birth which is how we so sadly lost the beautiful Lily-May.

Lily-May's MAMIL (Lily May's Middle Aged Men in Lycra - bizarre name I know) consists of a team of around 15 fellow Islehamers whom shall be funding the event entirely out of own pockets with the support of generous sponsor Tim Drayton and TJD Building Contractors Ltd - every penny you donate will go straight to East Anglia's Children Hospice.

If you could and would be willing to spare a little of your hard earned money to our cause we would be most grateful.

Many thanks,

Lily-May's MAMIL
