Story

General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.

New-U is a small independent charity running a clothing swap shop in Norwich which offers work placements to long-term unemployed young people to help build their skills and confidence. The New-U shop is a unique shopping experience promoting sustainability and recycling, and is accessible to anyone- it's free! At the moment we're unable to raise funds through our normal channels (our monthly jumble sale and the small amount we make on sales in the shop) and since part of our funding grant relies on us fund-raising, we need to find new ways to raise a little money and awareness.

My mum and sister have been practising their dance routines during lockdown and I thought it would be fun to get a big group of people online at the same time to learn a routine together :) It should be fun, simple and a bit more sociable than your average home workout. I'm hoping to get at least 26 people involved, making a neat 2.6 Challenge!
