Story
Five intrepid and courageous members of Lincolnshire County Council's Business Support management team are participating in the Wild Warrior xtreme Obstacle Course in September 2019 in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Far removed from our usual desk-based roles, our glorious leader, Becky Harrison, asked for brave volunteers to tackle this challenge...the rest of us didn't hide quick enough, so here we are.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a charity close to our hearts as one of the team, Warwick, has a son called Brody affected by the condition. Brody is five and at the age of 4 weeks old, was diagnosed with CF. This is a condition that Brody lives with every day, although you wouldn't know it if you met him! One of Warwick's best friends also has CF, so we fully understand what an important and valuable cause this is and how it can impact on people over the course of a lifetime.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
We would love it if you could support us by donating to such a worthy cause.
Thanks,
Becky, Warwick, Zoe, Will & Paul
