We both love swimming and wanted a challenge with the opportunity to raise money for Whizz-Kidz. This is a charity we have chosen to support inspired by wanting everyone to be able to explore our beautiful countyside. We are aware this can be a challenge for those differently abled. Ethan (Claire’s nephew) has a condition that affects his arms and legs and we have seen how wheelchairs or the like enable him to explore our environment, bringing him so much joy (especially ‘going off road’!). Our amazing NHS provides wheelchairs for children however Whizz-Kidz charity can fill a gap for wheelchair provision in different environments.

We are swimming the length of Lake Coniston in the Lake District on the 25th June 2023. This is 5.25 miles!! Training is underway and we cant wait to have this adventure!
