Story
Atfalul Ahmadiyya UK is raising funds towards a Model Village Project in The Gambia with IAAAE (International Association of Ahmadi Architects and Engineers). They work prominently in the Africa continent working towards solutions to alleviate water poverty and bring electrification to rural locations.
For this project the village Murreh Kunda was selected which is based in the East side of the Gambia. The project aims to bring a solar water system and various solar outlets to the habitants. A community centre is also being built, where the people can host social events and hold educational courses. More details on the purpose of the project and the works that are being carried out can be found here: https://www.atfal.org.uk/charity
As part of this a group of Atfal will also have the opportunity to travel with a small team to the Gambia from 28 March to 4 April and take part in the ongoing works. All the funds that are raised will go towards the development of the Model Village.
