Story
Thanks to the climate emergency, conflicts and the Covid-19 pandemic, the need among refugees and poor societies is greater than ever.
With suitable precautions, we will run a Christian Aid house to house collection in 2021. But because fewer volunteers than usual are likely to take part in this, a number of parishioners are working together to devise alternative outreach and fundraising ideas, such as an online bingo game, a sponsored litter-pick, and fun activities to encourage donations online, via bank transfer, by post or telephone, card reading machines or e-envelopes.
Watch the church's Christian Aid Week web page and https://caweek.org/ for details and please tell all your family, friends and acquaintances about our area’s Churches Together Christian Aid Week fundraising team page (this one). Anyone can join the team and set up their own linked fundraising page, as Ron Morris did last year for his sponsored walk, raising far and away the lion’s share of our total of £2,184.67.
Do support Joan's sponsored swim - 75 lengths, one for each year of Christian Aid Week!
Your gifts of time, treasure and talent will help support Christian Aid's vital work with some of the poorest communities in the world.
Thank you!
