Story
The community at Newbury Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, are aiming to complete a 24 hour Rollathon of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu to raise money for the wonderful folks at REORG charity.
The REORG Charity's mission is to provide safe and supportive environments for veterans, military, and emergency services personnel to improve their physical, social, and emotional well-being through functional fitness and jiu jitsu. By engaging in these activities, the charity aims to help individuals reignite their sense of purpose, build camaraderie, and find a healthy outlet for the stress and trauma of their demanding careers.
Newbury BJJ are lucky enough to be affiliated with REORG through their veterans programme and we have 2 current students on their charity pathways. The goal of our event is to raise money to support in helping more and more people find Jiu-jitsu and CrossFit communities. We hope to achieve this through our efforts, and of course, through your donations! Please give what you can.
The event itself will start at 10am and will involve us working as a team over 24 hours to ensure 2 Jiu-jitsu players are working together on the mats at all times.
The event is open to all members of Newbury BJJ as well as any other members of the Jiu-jitsu community. It's also going to be very sociable and so definitely a great time to come and check out what we do and say hello.
There will be refreshments, a lunchtime BBQ, an evening food truck and loads of live music alongside the relentless Jiu-jitsu. Bring the family and stay for an hour or 24, it's really up to you.
Please give generously and come train 🤙😁⚔️
