CMN Hadrian's Wall Trekkers

We've joined together to raise funds for CARING MATTERS NOW a small but very worthy charity close to many of our hearts.

Our epic team will take on the 25 mile trek along Hadrian’s Wall over two days – one wall, one epic adventure in just one weekend! 

A tough, challenging trek with stunning backdrop and fascinating history. 

Overnight under canvas is as much a challenge for some of the team than the trek itself! :)

All in aid of Caring Matters Now.

Caring Matters Now is the only UK dedicated charity that supports people affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi (CMN), a rare disorder affecting the skin and brain. 

CMN is an association of dark brown/black birthmarks (moles) which can cover up to 80% of the body.

CMN are mostly untreatable and carry an increased risk of malignant melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer.

CMN syndrome is the association of these moles with neurological problems including brain tumours, spinal tumours, developmental complications, fluid on the brain and/or characteristic facial features.

Caring Matters Now works in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital, funding the CMN research. The ultimate aim of the CMN research is to try to develop treatments for CMN, including the neurological complications and the devastating, fatal malignant melanoma.

The funds raised from this challenge will allow us to continue to support all those affected by CMN, provide emergency medical care for those given a fatal diagnosis and provide the much needed funding to further the pioneering CMN research headed up by Dr Kinsler at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Institute of Child Health London.
