Supporting his chosen charity Diabetes UK, Mark Alexander, NACO President will lead a group of NACO members on the Avenue Verte and UK National Cycle Network from the Tower of London to the Eiffel Tower, Paris.
Members wishing to find out more should contact Matt Arrowsmith at the NACO National Office on 0161 351 7900 or by email to ma@naco.coop for a copy of the latest information pack.
NACO can accommodate a maximum of 12 riders on a first-come-first-served basis. To avoid disappointment, please complete and return the application form to the NACO National Office as soon as possible.
Although the Avenue Verte has been completed by cyclists of many different ability levels, it is a challenge!
Make sure that you are physically prepared for the ride by doing some training rides prior to attempting the route. You don’t have to be Superman to complete it, but, you do need to know that you can manage more than 10 miles on a bike before collapsing in a heap!
We will tackle the 181 mile route over 3 days:
- Friday 2nd May, 58 miles, London to Brighton
- Saturday 3rd May, 61 miles, Brighton to Gournay-en-Bray
- Sunday 4th May, 62 miles, Gournay-en-Bray to Paris
