Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page. On Wednesday 26th February 2014, we will step back out over the towering 200ft descent of the Avon Gorge to raise money for both cancer research charity ‘The Association for International Cancer Research (AICR) (http://www.aicr.org.uk/) and the Bath RAG Big Four charities: Teenage Cancer Trust, Bath Mind, Julian House and SENSE.
The abseil is part the Smartypants campaign during RAG Week at the University of Bath. The Smartypants campaign encourages students to take on a challenge IN THEIR PANTS to raise sponsorship to fund researchers across the country looking into “new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer”. For more information on the Smartypants campaign, see the link below: http://www.smartypants.org.uk/index.php).
Sponsorship will be split 50/ 50 between the AICR and the big four charities that Bath RAG support: Teenage Cancer Trust, Bath Mind, Julian House and SENSE. The Association for International Cancer Research (AICR) (http://www.aicr.org.uk/) funds some of the world’s smartest cancer researchers, including our very own Professor Threadgill at Bath University.
