Aotearoa Adventure : a long bike ride on the other side of the world

Team photo

In October myself, Richard and Alison Watson are travelling to New Zealand to cycle the Aotearoa trail; a 3,000km route that links Cape Reinga, the most northerly point of North Island with Bluff, the southern most point of South Island. The trail was devised in 2016 and consists of road, tracks & trails, beach, hills, bigger hills, some very big hills and the most amazing scenery.

We aim to complete this challenging 1,800 miles in 60 days and I am using it to raise money for two charities; Sightsavers and Bowel Cancer UK.  Click the links below to find out my reasons and to donate to one or both of them.  Knowing that people are supporting me will certainly help me up some of those NZ hills!

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
