Run Forest RUN...

Firstly, we want to say THANK YOU. If you are reading this it means you have clicked on the link to support us and Millionandon. Anita and Bittu's daughter Milli was only 11 years old when she lost the fight against a brain tumour in April. Millionandon is a charity that Milli set up with her mother to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital & Kids Company. There could not be a cause closer to our hearts. Milli touched our lives and so many others. We love and miss her dearly. Please click on the link  http://www.millionandon.com/ to read our dear friend Anita's words and to understand the charity a bit more. Then click on the link at the bottom of this page and give us all you can.  Don't forget to make a pledge to improve your life as we are doing by taking on this 10k run.  Keep the donations and happiness pledges coming.

The race. So how did we get to this point? It all started whilst Fat Albert (aka: Carin) was sipping cocktails on the beach in Ibiza, reading a 'fitness' magazine. She stumbled over a race advert and decided to challenge Big Bertha (aka: Kelly) to do a 10k run. Could we do a 10K run? Sure we thought, but it is not just a run, it is a run with 10 obstacles. Last year the obstacles entailed climbing over stacked cars, crawling through ice, monkey bars, climbing 20ft high walls, trudging through mud....just to name a few. Needless to say, we are scared, SERIOUSLY scared but have embraced this with open (sore from training) arms. It is called 'Survival of the Fittest' by Men's Health  http://www.mhsurvival.co.uk/

We are very excited about the race that takes place on Saturday 17 November at Battersea Power Station in London. It will be a great achievement for us and more importantly, it gives us an opportunity to raise money for Millionandon. Milli would have giggled her infectious wonderful giggle at the thought of us crawling through ice with mud up to our ears. Actually, she would have thought it was hilarious. So we feel honoured to put Milli's name and chosen charity to this challenge. We feel more determined than ever to do this for her and ourselves.

Most of you will be familiar with Great Ormond Street Hospital. Milli chose this charity to help sick children. The money raised for this charity is specifically to fund Darren Hargrave’s work at GOSH in developing more accurate imaging techniques using nuclear medicine (a special form of scanning) to develop further understanding of the tumours and how they respond to treatment. Anita & Bittu's friends and family have already raised £21,312.09. Our contribution starts now and we need you help and support.

Saturday 17 November is just over 6 weeks away and we aim to raise as much as we can. Thank you for being a part of this amazing fundraising experience.

Love, light & friendship,

Carin & Kelly xx

This is for you Milli.
