Mission RASI - Row Around Singapore Island - involves two replica 19th Century Cornish Pilot Boats being rowed over 140km, taking on the seas and shipping lanes (not to mention two live military firing ranges) to complete a non-stop circumnavigation of the island of Singapore.
The event itself will be held during the 50th anniversary year of Singapore’s independence and coincides with Singapore Maritime Week on 22 April 2015.
Mission RASI thank you for your donation of which all funds raised by everyone will go direct to The Mission to Seafarers, a vital lifeline to seafarers in need all around the world. This is a highly physical endurance challenge and in case of injury / sickness or alike there may be an unavoidable reason that a rower may not be able to participate in part or all of the event. You agreement to donate is given to the Mission RASI challenge as a whole rather than each individual participant and honoured accordingly. There are various dangers of rowing at sea and the safety of those involved is paramount. If, for whatever reason, the event is abandoned on the 22nd April, it will be rescheduled. In the event of Delays or Rescheduling, donations will still be honoured. In the event that complete cancellation occurs you will be contacted and donations returned.
