West Berkshire Sands are fundraising to have a Baby Memorial Garden within Thatcham Cemetery. We have been given authorisation from the council for the space we require within the baby section of the Cemetery. We now need to fundraise to make this much needed memorial garden a reality within West Berkshire, so that all bereaved families can come and quietly reflect in the comfort of a peaceful and beautiful setting. This memorial garden will also be where West Berkshire Sands holds Babyloss awareness events throughout the year.

All the funds raised will be designated for the purpose of West Berkshire Sands Baby Memorial Garden Project. Once this project is fully funded and it’s £30,000 target reached, any excess will be spent where the need is greatest, helping Sands to continue to deliver its vital services to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, to improve the bereavement care received by parents and families, and to promote research to reduce the number of babies dying.
