When our friend and colleague was diagnosed in March with a rare and incurable thyroid cancer, we wanted to do all that we could to help her and her handsome fella reach their fundraising target. By the time our event happens, we are sure they will have smashed their target and we couldn't be more delighted for them!
At the wedding of Emily and Jake, we met so many incredible people who had done amazing things to help with the fundraising. We put our heads together and realised that we lack skills and talent and don't know a single person who could help us organise something super cool! So... we have signed up to do the Marsden March in aid of the Royal Marsden. Emily can't say enough positive things about the hospital where she is being treated or about the incredible people who look after her each week so we thought it was the perfect event for us to show our support of her, and them, at this event.
We will be marching, and probably strolling or limping at times, from the Royal Marsden in Chelsea to their other hospital in Sutton. 14 miles in total which is nothing compared to what Emily goes through each day.
