Louis and his horse Sasha will ride from Italy to Cape Finisterre, Spain, to raise money and awareness for refugees and their trauma, in support of Amna (RTI).   

As a result of the conflict in Ukraine now is a time more important than ever to be supporting the invisible sufferer:  mental health. Death, displacement, loneliness and toxic fear are direct resultants of war, and we want to help Amna heal the unseen pain. 

This journey across the heart of Europe is a mission to shine a light on the internal sufferings of those with ill mental health, whoever and wherever they may be. The mania of our times, the shape-shifting societies we whirl in; we owe it to ourselves to think of each other and to strive for peace, a calm silence and an encompassing understanding. The Big Hoof ride will raise funds for refugees and support their rapid mental health intervention on the borders of Poland and Romania in particular. This is a time for the Gift of Hope and by riding for this message The Big Hoof aims to inspire people from all walks of life to offer their compassion and unity.
