Story

Riley Wise Needs Your Help to Walk.

You can help Riley walk for the very first time unaided by donating.

Riley is 4 years old and has spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. One of the symptoms that affect Riley is that it causes tightness in his legs, so he is unable stand or to walk independently.

After researching potential treatments to help Riley walk, we have heard about an operation that so far around 100 UK children have had. This is called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). This is only offered in America, and has a 100% success rate from the St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri. They have been carrying out this operation now for over 25 years.

The aim is to raise £45,000 to send Riley to America to the St Louis Children’s Hospital for the SDR operation. To do this we will need as much or as little as you can give, to raise the much needed funds for this amazing little boy.

Anyone interested in helping the Riley Wise Appeal is asked to contact Caudwell Children on 01782 600114 or to donate online visit www.justgiving.com/therileyfund

Important note to donors: As long as Riley requires the funds raised to pay for treatment in the United States, Caudwell Children will manage all payments of funds for the family. Should there come a time, for whatever reason, that Riley no longer requires the funds raised for medical treatment and living expenses while in America then the monies raised will be used to provide similar donations to sick and disabled children living within the UK through the charity, Caudwell Children.
