Story

As an independent Gloucester Business, we have seen the incredible work that Pied Piper Appeal has done for sick children in Gloucester for many years.

Titan have wanted to do a much bigger event for a long time and now with a much bigger and better premises this is now possible!

The Titan Team aims to move 240 tonnes (240,000 kgs) of weight in 24 hours on the 24th July (12:00pm to Sunday 25th July at 12:00pm). There is no weight that is comparable to the weight that parents have to carry when having a sick child and that is why we have chose this mammoth challenge!

1 of the Titan Directors Lisa ran her first 10k back in 2017 in aid of Pied Piper Appeal and has also taken part in the 10k organised at Highnam Court in 2018. She also worked for founder Peter Hickman back in 2004 to 2007 and did lots of fundraising throughout her time at the Gloucester Salon.

We are asking our families, friends, members and clients to get behind us and this fantastic charity as we gear up to a huge challenge ahead!

Thank you for reading!

THE TITAN TEAM

The Pied Piper Appeal was founded in 1992 by local hairdresser Peter Hickman and £4 million was pledged to build a new Children's Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The money was quickly raised with the centre opening in 2004. Since then, Pied Piper have continued to fund the Children's Centre along with improving experiences with mental health facilities, sending children and their families on Wish Holidays and supporting SEND schools, pledging £500,000 to the Chamwell Centre Project which started building work in February 2019.
