Story

I am aiming to canoe the entire length of the old Thames...in a plastic canoe!
Starting on Friday at Dorchester il be paddling down through Purley, Henley, Windsor and finishing at Teddington Locks (near Hampton Court where the non-tidal river ends) on Tuesday evening. I say the 'Old Thames' because according to historic OS maps and history books the River Thames was named the River Isis until it met with the River Thame at Dorchester.
I know its rather late in the day to be organising this as a charity event but, if it can raise just a small amount of money for the childrens charity, Kith and Kids, then it will have been worthwhile. Think of it as a bet. I bet you all I can make it, in a ridiculously flimsy plastic canoe, all the way down the Thames River in five long, hard days. Fingers crossed!
Please donate what you can!

Love Tom
