Story

My name is Tom Sheffle and I am one of the few lucky people who can call themselves a cancer survivor.  In 2010 I was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma of my 10 left rib.  After several months of aggressive chemotherapy I had surgery to remove the tumour followed by several additional rounds of adjuvant chemotherapy to consolidate my treatment.  In late 2011 I was given the great news that my therapy had been successful and I was in remission.  The exceptional treatment given to me would never have been possible without organisations such as BCRT who work extensively into researching Primary Bone Cancer and methods to combat it.   During 2012 I plan to run The London Marathon and compete in the London Triathlon; I would appreciate any contributions you can afford towards sponsoring me in these pursuits.   Any donations you make will be well received by BCRT, which is such a worthwhile organisation; without whom I may not be here today.   If you get the chance take a look on the BCRT website (http://www.bcrt.org.uk/) and see the wonderful things they do.
