Story

We have decided as the main challenge that, Ben Aird, Matt Parker, Matt Dawson, Rhys Beswick, Wayne Hinch, John Bobsin, Neil Bowles, Sandra Cookson will participate in Men's Health SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST on THIS SATURDAY, 21st NOVEMBER 2015.

Its a 10k assault course with 75 tricky obstacles on it and with a combined age of around 300 its going to prove a challenge to us all.

Joking to one side, we are all 110% dedicated to this cause and to this challenge and we will all start and finish together to no matter what happens.

CHARLIE WRIGHT and myself have completed "Run To The Beat" run around London on Sunday 13th September. It’s only a 10k run but running hasn't been on the top of my agenda recently so it was a bit of a challenge to do it, but we did it in a respectable time.

THOMAS A BECKET pub landlord RICHARD CUTLER is allowing us to bucket shake at every home games so if you are there, pop any loose change into the buckets

All monies raised will go directly to the Life For Lewis appeal which is outlined below as to what Lewis’ issues are and more importantly why we want to help him.
PLEASE SEND THIS LINK TO ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS AND ASK THEM TO DONATE ALL THEY CAN. Even if everyone donated £1, it would make a certain difference

Lewis Herbert was born in 2002 and was diagnosed with West Syndrome at 3 months of age.
This has since developed into a condition called Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). LGS is a rare and extremely severe form of epilepsy with multiple seizure types. It causes severe global developmental delay.

He can have 100’s of different seizures every day and his condition is resistant to any medication or therapies which have been tried.
He is severely disabled and unable to do anything for himself. He relies on his parents, Gary & Lexi for all his personal care needs. He requires 24hr care on a daily basis and his parents have had to give up work to look after him!.

He can’t walk or talk, but enjoys being out of his wheelchair and wriggling about (in his own unique style) on his soft mats.
For more information about Lewis and his proposed sensory garden please visit; http://lexiherbert.wix.com/alifeforlewisappeal

That's about him and the reason why I want to help him. His parents have already raised enough money for a multisensory room inside the house, and with summer fast approaching, we want to try and make a wheelchair accessible /multi sensory garden for him (with water feature, sound and light arch, musical chimes, wind chimes, mirrors and raised scented flower beds) so he can get outside and spend time with his brother and sister instead of having to stay indoors.
It is my personal challenge to try and make as much money as possible with the support from my friends who all have agreed to undertake events and challenges throughout the year.

Local artists such as Jordan Herbert & Harlz, Ray Hue and Sean Grew are offering their servcies to assist with the money making.

We have support from local businesses such as Neil Mason Associates, Papa Cinos, Nuovo, The Richardson Group, Readflex and Your Vision Events, who are assisting us with all sound and lights for events. Additional support is always welcomed.
Lewis has touched the hearts of all of my friends and we have all made a promise to make sure he gets what he wants. The family have been let down and had doors closed on them and backs turned on them. I have promised that I and my friends will not do that, and we are all on board this train to make Lewis' life that little bit more enjoyable.

All fundraising events will be linked to this site, but please spread the word and the link and donate what you can and whenever you can.
So without further ado, please do give generously......and help me fulfil the promise I made to his parents and him last time I saw him.

"Lewis mate, don't you worry, you have me as a friend now and that means you have all my friends as your friends and we won't let you down"
PLEASE HELP ME MAKE A DIFFERENCE
