In September 2012, whilst living with my brother, Jessie, and sister-in-law, Georgie, a little Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross puppy called Badger entered our lives. The joy he has brought into our lives is immeasurable and it wouldn't have happened without Mayhew.

Mayhew's animal welfare preventative work encourages people to change their attitudes and behaviours towards animals in a positive way. Over the last 17 years they have been leaders in community focused projects that work to address causes of animal neglect, cruelty abandonment and overpopulation.

It's not been long since I took up long distance running but I've completely fallen in love with it in that space of time. It's given me new goals in life and have taken me away from vices that I thought were inescapable. What's even more fulfilling is when I can do it whilst helping contribute towards charitable organizations such as Mayhew at the same time.
