We are excited to be supporting1625 Independent People as our chosen Varsity charity for 2015. The money raised at Varsity will help the charity to develop and deliver vital services enabling young people to take hold of their lives. This amazing local charity run specialist projects and services to help young people in a variety of ways, including housing, life skills, confidence-building, education, training, jobs, and fun.

Each year over a thousand students from the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England go head to head over a series of sporting events, organised by the Students’ Unions of both Universities. Our aim is to enable students to compete in their chosen sport against their closest rivals whilst promoting both universities extra-curricular activities on offer to the city of Bristol, in the name of fun, rivalry and friendship whilst fundraising money for local charity. In the last two years the event has raised nearly £20,000 for local charities & each Union.
