About VetRun180
VetRun180 is an organisation that takes physically and mentally injured military veterans on challenging 4x4 vehicle expeditions to aid in their recovery. The idea of a former Royal Marine physically and mentally injured on operations who attended a driving expedition across the Sahara Desert came back from the Sahara different person after the challenge, and wanted to use the catalyst of 4x4 expeditions to help the growing number of injured veterans struggling after leaving the military.
VetRun180 has already completed three expeditions since its concept a year ago. Northern Portugal, the Empty Quarter in Oman and Galicia in Northern Spain. A total of 39 veterans have been helped so far.
VetRun180 will train each veteran in First Aid At Work and a LANTRA off road driving qualification to help with future employment and give confidence on the expedition they attend.
'If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you'.
The ultimate goal for VetRun180 is to help injured veterans re engage themselves through adventure and change their lives around for the future.
