We provide care for local families to help those with life-limiting illnesses

Story

Having worked for Weston Homes for a combined total of over 35+ years, and ready for the challenge, Veer, Chris, James and Scott have been inspired by the close relationship Weston Homes has with the hospice and wanted to contribute to fundraising for this wonderful charity, who's dedication to palliative care, touch the lives of so many patients and families alike.

Please support Team Weston in donating whatever you can, it really will make such a difference to St Clare Hospice and encourage the team every step of their 26 mile challenge.

St Clare Hospice is a charity providing specialist palliative care to improve the lives of people living with a terminal or life-limiting illness in West Essex and East Hertfordshire, including Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth. Their approach to care gives patients, their families and carers, the confidence to cope so that, together, they can enjoy the best possible quality of life, whether at home or in the Hospice. With limited NHS funding, they need to raise most of the £4.6 million it costs each year to provide our vital services. Therefore they rely on the local community to help raise money each year so they can continue being there for local families facing one of the most difficult journeys in life.

In 2017/18, of every £1 spent, 87p went directly on care for patients and their families. 13p went on generating funds and income.
