Story

A group of radiographers from Macclesfield Hospital are planning an epic trip in memory of Abe Vincent who tragically died in January. The team of three aim to cycle nearly 200 miles from London to Paris in less than 24 hours in order to raise £5000 for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. Team members Marc Branson, Michael Calamanan, and Paul Fenton will be setting off at 4pm Saturday May 30th from Westminster Bridge and will first cycle 60 miles to Newhaven in order to catch the midnight ferry to Dieppe. Once in France the team will then have to cycle 130 miles non-stop to Paris in order to beat the clock.

Sadly, Abe passed away aged just 21, after being diagnosed with bone cancer. To date the Just Giving page set up in Abe’s memory has raised nearly £10,000, and this latest challenge hopes to increase that amount even further.
