At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Right I am doing a longish walk. I know walking a few miles is v easy for a lot of you but I do have arthritis and had plenty of ops on my knee, so it is a feat for me!

So much more importantly though, I am doing this to raise money for Dementia research, which is a cause so close to my heart.

As some of you may know my wonderful, brave, strong, intelligent and very groovey dad has had it for quite a few years now, and watching it tear little bits away from him every day is nothing less than agony. I know he misses himself everyday and I miss him too.

I want to do this to help others who can be helped.  To help with the research and development, to help people who suffer with this debilitating and cruel disease without the care and love of family and friends, to raise awareness and give much needed support to families who are affected.

"I think that even if you don't know who I am someday, you'll still know that I love you."
"What if I see you, and I don't know that you're my daughter, and I don't know that you love me?"
"Then, I'll tell you that I do, and you'll believe me."

Anything large or small that you can donate would be amazing. Thank you!
