Story
My dear friend Rosa, who is 14 years old, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on 2 January. Her cancer is stage 4, Rosa has a good prognosis, thanks to the incredible breakthroughs that are happening all the time. Cancers like lymphoma, in young people, are very different in both treatment and outcome. This fundraising is the very least we can do to support more research and breakthroughs.
Rosa has been an inpatient in the children’s hospital for most of her treatment. One of the charities that has really supported her and her family is Love Oliver. They do all kinds of practical things like providing high-quality meals for parents when they’re staying on the ward. They also support monthly events for the teenage cancer patients so they can get together and get to know each other.
