Credit Unions for Kids is a nonprofit collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues/associations and business partners from across the country, engaged in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Adopted as the movement's charity of choice, credit unions are the 5th largest sponsor of CMN Hospitals.

Since 1996, CU4Kids has raised $200 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. One hundred percent of every dollar donated goes back to the CMN Hospital which serves their surrounding community. In 2019, Credit Unions in the Flint-Saginaw-Bay City area partnered together to raise over $50,000 for the kids during the #SantaCares campaign.

In February, Credit Union leaders from the region met at Hurley Children's Hospital to discuss a plan for 2020, and the decision was made to form an official Credit Unions for Kids Committee which would function to support Hurley Children's Hospital.

Unfortunately, as fate would have it, a global pandemic surfaced just weeks after this meeting, so all plans were put on pause.

As Credit Unions worked to pivot, and shift to the needs of their members and communities, they never lost sight of the importance of helping local kids. And so, we are excited to present: "CHANGE a Child's Life". From August 17 - 28, 2020 participating Credit Unions will be demonstrating their support for Hurley kids in a variety of ways.
