The British public love fish and chips, and often all we have to do is mention the idea to get people salivating at the thought of a fish and chip supper.

Stemming from the experiences of SIA staff and their time spent rehabilitating in Stoke Mandeville Spinal Unit (and their many outings to the local pub for a Friday dinner treat!) Fish and Chip Suppers have been running for over 10 years.

The aim is simple, to get people to enjoy eating fish and chips to raise awareness and funds for SIA what could be better. It is an easy, fun and accessible way to make a difference and you dont need to be able to run a marathon or be willing to jump out of a plane to fundraise (just willing to pick up a chip fork)!

Host a Fish and Chip Supper with friends and family.

You can host your Fish and Chip Supper by supporting your local chip shop, cooking your own (why not try SIAs recipes?), or visiting a local restaurant. Remember to ask them to donate more that your costs so you can raise vital funds for SIA.

Involve your community group, workplace or teammates.

Get a larger group of friends, teammates or club members involved in an event, or approach your colleagues about hosting a Fish and Chip Supper at your office. Perhaps you can even persuade your boss to treat your team to lunch so that everything you and or colleagues raise goes to SIA!

Canvas your local chippy for support.

Perhaps they could create a special dish and donate the proceeds, or ask every customer for a donation? Visit our website for a template letter that you can send to encourage support from local businesses
