A bit about me...
I am the founder of GreatNews.Life, a good-news media network I started in 2009 with the launch of ValpoLife. What began as a single site focused on uplifting stories in Valparaiso has since grown into a regional platform with PortageLife, LaPorteCountyLife, NWIndianaLife, and Michiana.Life—sharing tens of thousands of positive stories, events, and photos that celebrate the people, places, and progress across Northwest Indiana. With a background in market data, news, and technology, I saw an opportunity to create something different—media that connects and inspires through hope, kindness, and community.
Today, I’m proud to lead a passionate team of over 30 people who share a commitment to making a difference through storytelling. We've published more than 65,000 stories and continue to grow, fueled by the belief that good news deserves to be seen and shared. Over the years, I’ve been honored with recognitions like Small Business Journalist of the Year and a permanent fellowship in the Northwest Indiana Society of Innovators, but the real reward is seeing how our work brings people together and lifts spirits. My mission remains simple: to build stronger communities by focusing on the good.
As a Clubhouse Hero during the 2025 Clubhouse Hero Challenge from May 25 to June 8, I am competing against other local leaders to see who can raise the most funds to support bright futures for our region’s youth. If I win, I will deliver on a special promise for the kids at one local Club. Your contribution gives our region’s children the tools to become the superheroes of their own stories.
